Rick has been working as a volunteer at the festival for over 10 years. He is a retired Naval Officer that “dropped anchor” in Southwest Washington and currently works for System Sensor, a division of Honeywell. He has participated in some form of musical endeavor all his life and is the tenor section leader with Bravo! Vancouver Chorale. He has been working back stage running a “tight ship” for over 7 years. He is usually joined by his son Erik and daughter Jessica who share his love of music. Rick takes great pride in the festival and the stage area and feeds on the fast pace activity behind the stage that most patrons never get to see. When not managing the Stage for the W&J festival Rick can often be found ringing English Handbells with his wife Paula. In what little spare time he has left he is involved as a volunteer with East County Fire & Rescue on their Emergency Support Team.
