​Start out the Festival with traditional New Orleans jazz. It's where America's music all began. It's a great way to kick off the weekend!

5:15 - 6:15 pm
Salsanova Orchestra
This HOT Portland-based Salsa band will get you moving, so make sure you bring your dancing shoes!

6:30 - 8:00 pm
56th US Army Jazz Band
This is one of the BEST military bands in the US Army, serving I Corps at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. We celebrate American music with the men and women of the US Army!

Melting Mergers
Melting Mergers is Contemporary Jazz, World Rhythm and Sounds and R&B – combined with contemporary Belly Dance. Led by Portland pianist Dave Lee, with Vinnie Bargas (drums, percussion) and dancer Emily Paris. How cool is THIS?

Ellen Whyte Duo with Jean-Pierre Garau
​Portland-based Ellen Whyte is recognized as one of the most accomplished singers in the Northwest. She's won numerous awards including a GRAMMY Award nomination in 2009 for “Four Way Stop.”
