Kids and Family:
We are a family friendly cultural arts event, open to all ages. We want your children to hear the music and see all the fantastic fine art – maybe there is a budding jazz musician, painter, sculptor, or other artist out there! With that in mind, children aged 12 and younger are admitted FREE with their parents or adult guardian. However, ALL children and minors under the age of 21 MUST be accompanied AT ALL TIMES by a parent or adult guardian. Period. No exceptions. No one under the age of 21 may buy, consume, or possess alcohol at any time. All persons under the age of 21 are restricted from the premises at 9:00 pm. This includes staff and volunteers.
Seating is General Admission. Seating is grass seating or on blankets. Chairs: only low-back lawn chairs or sand chairs are permitted. Please do not bring tall lawn chairs because people behind you want to see too! If you bring a tall lawn chair, you must be seated to the far left or far right of the stage – not in the center. Please be respectful of other people. The Festival does not provide chairs. There is no reserved seating. Do NOT take a folding chair from a VIP area, or any area of the park—these are FESTIVAL chairs. Please pay attention to any signs which may indicate designated seating such as “blanket” or “chair” or “handicap” etc. Esther Short Park is owned by the City of Vancouver and is ADA compliant according to the City of Vancouver.
