Sunday Performances: Beacock's Community Jazz Band

3:15 - 3:45 PM | 5:00 - 5:30 PM

The Beacock's Community Jazz Band is the perfect model of lifelong music education.  Playing in a band or orchestra might be something you have always wanted to do, but you simply found the notion to be a bit intimidating or you might have thought that you couldn't do it. Nothing could be further from the truth!  The Beacock Music Concert Band and Jazz Band were started for people who played back in school, but have then spent many years building careers and raising families.  The ensemble is led by Gene Burton, a music educator with more than 40 years teaching and professioinal performing experience.  Learn more at: BAND WEBSITE

KIDS ZONE - Fun stuff for kids and students!

The Festival is a GREAT place for families to bring their children - they can hear world class jazz music and see beautiful art.  We also have some fun activities for children & students.  Check out our "Clarinet Corral" where students can pick up and 'try out' a clarinet or other instrument.  Or get creative with the "Musical Instrument Coloring Pages."  Or, play a friendly game of Corn Hole, all at the Bravo! Concerts Northwest Information Booth.  Check out our website about our new "Concerts For Kids" programs, beginning with the 2024-25 school year.  Click HERE for more information.

Our Education Stage provides an opportunity for music students and amateur musicians - of all ages - to perform at the Festival.  We also have fun stuff for kids to do, including our "Clarinet Corral." One of our goals is to create a Jazz Camp for high school and adult musicians.  If you want to explore ways to support education for students from high school through adults please contact Artistic Director Dr. Michael Kissinger on our CONTACT page.
